Once disposed, plastic materials can take centuries to break down. They may add a heavier burden on landfills and waste-processing facilities if not discarded properly. Project ONEbots aims to collect plastic bottles so that they can be recycled which helps the environment and creates new economic opportunities. 

This social media campaign was spearheaded by the SCOPH-EH where they encouraged the use of tupperware containers to bring packed lunch. Participants would bring packed lunch on Tuesdays and post a picture of themselves and their lunch online with the corresponding hashtag: #TupperwareTuesdays. The purpose of this initiative was to prevent the further generation of unsustainable waste and promote environmental awareness amongst the student body in CIM.
