Standing Committee on Medical Education

The Standing Committee on Medical Education is an avenue for medical students to come together to promote the development of their medical education through various seminars, conferences, forums, and workshops inside and outside of school.

Activities

Skills Practice

The Skills Practice is a program that allows students to learn the necessary practical medical skills through constant practice and teamwork, which is especially helpful for OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) and future patient interactions.

Educational Program Partnerships

AMSA-SOMA Standing Committee on Medical Education also partners with different AMSA local member schools and other organizations in different educational programs that help enhance and develop the medical student experience.

Virtual Clinics Orientation

The Virtual Clinics Orientation is a program that provides medical students the fundamental necessary knowledge and skills for their future hospital exposure. It simulates a typical clinic session from history taking, physical examinations, and formulation of primary and differential diagnoses.
